What is the Payoneer prepaid debit mastercard?
It’s just like any other credit cards, it’s physical card (not virtual), it operates like any other plastic card, it’s prepaid (debit card) and you don’t need any bank account to have it. It’s linked to your odesk profile and can withdraw your odesk earnings to the debit card.
How to apply for odesk Mastercard?
Go to the payment methods in odesk and click to sign up for: oDesk Debit MasterCard powered by payoneer. Submit your user details, fill up the form correctly and then you have to submit a security document. 2nd address is the address where payoneer will send you the mastercard. You can use the same as your billing address or can use your prefered shipping address. On the 3rd part of the form, you will be asked to enter your passport number/ drivers license/ number of the national ID card (voter ID card)
After submitting the application, payoneer will verify your details and will determine if you are eligible to receive the oDesk Debit MasterCard powered by payoneer.
Once your applicatin gets approved, they will send you the card through regular postal mail.

are there any cost for the local atm booth such as DBBL. I mean, if I withdraw money from DBBL booth using my odesk mastercard, may I need to pay the DBBL any payment?
ATM withdrawal fee is $2.50+ ATM booth fees and it depends on the amount and the ATM machine from different banks.

There’s no way to have a false transaction, I think the maximum will be around 65,000 TK/ day after taking the booth fee.

You can’t verify PayPal with the odesk card because PayPal doesn’t supports BD but it’s possible where PP is supported like India.

Leemon, having an account at odesk won’t make you earn money online. You have to fill up your profile with work details, skills, qualifications and work samples. You have to give a reason to the buyer to hire you. Apply on different jobs regularly and you will get an answer if you have that thing.

As we slowly move towards a cashless society (imagine a solar flare resetting everything to zero!) we are going to find that technology will give us access to funds in more and more innovative ways. I like the way this debit card can be used to sidestep more conventional bank cards and their accounts.
I do feel that, I sometimes feel crazy about digital money, it has no physical existence but works as real money.
I personally like the concept of having gold as real money, especially seeing how the dollar is devalueing at present. Bartering goods and services also makes much more sense, rather than exchanging pieces of paper for real goods. Maybe I’m just old fashioned?

You can withdraw at most $1000 per day.. that means around TK70,000 in Bangladesh. Some ATM’s such as Standard Chartered allows you to withdraw 20,000 each time, so that you have to withdraw multiple times from there.
