Today I have invited a young BD blogger Mushfiq from Gamers World Bangladesh Blog; he inspired so many people from BD to blog including me! And you don’t know that it was Mushfiq who bought the base domain BlogKori.com for me :) Now let’s just move to the main interview part, shall we?
Tell me a bit about yourself, who are you, where do you live and what you do?
I’m a passionate gamer at heart and I simply love playing video games. I live at Dhaka but I’m also a US citizen. I’m in college right now and in my spare time I play games, socialize with friends and, of course, write on my games blog.
How and when did you start blogging?
How old are you and don’t you think you’re a bit younger to blog?
Yes, I guess I’m a bit young to blog. But age doesn’t matter in blogging, if you can provide useful information and people perceive you as an authority, your work is done.
What do you blog about and tell me a little bit about GWBD?
Currently, I break all the latest gaming news on www.gamersworldbd.com I talk about gaming rumors, analyze the current gaming trends and simply provide useful information to all gamers in Bangladesh. There is a dearth of good video gaming sites based in Bangladesh and I aim to establish my blog as the go to place for BD gamers.
Do you make money blogging? How?
I do, but not much. My main aim is not to make money out of this. I love blogging about videogames and interacting with site readers, answering their questions, etc. I get a bigger sense of satisfaction when a person leaves a comment on my blog rather than my monthly paycheck.
I’ve found that Bangladeshi traffic is hard to monetize since all advertisers (on Google Adsense, Chitika, affiliate sales) focus on North American/European traffic. And gamers are a tech-savvy lot, it is hard to make them click on ads or sell something to them. Currently, my monthly income is a bit over $100.
You didn’t blogged for a year or so! What happened?
That was when I took my O Levels. Had to study hard and didn’t find the time to blog. And as usual, life caught up on me, friends, family, etc. But I’m sorry dear readers and now I write more than twice each day.
Tell me something about what you do outside of blogging?
In my spare time (other than playing video games, obviously) I drive (okay race) around the streets of Dhaka in my Evo Ralliart. I’m taking a break though since I crashed last month on victory day, 16th Dec. My Evo is fixed and thankfully I wasn’t hurt.
How can we connect with you elsewhere/ social media?
I’m on Facebook but prefer in-person communication. Email’s always welcome though.
It’s bit self promoting, but do you read BlogKori?
Yup, I really like the fact that there is blog-about-blogging in Bangladesh. And also because I was there with you even before you bought the domain blogkori.com I subscribe by email and read all BlogKori posts that comes in my inbox.
If I want to create a gaming blog, what things I have to do?
First of all you have to be passionate about the topic. Gamers can read between the lines and know when someone is a seasoned gamer or just a 13-year-old ranting on the internet. If you can build an engaging community, you’re successful. However, the tech/gaming niche is overcrowded and you must provide a unique perspective.
Have your say!

Okay, that’s fine. Now I need a GTA San Andreas & GTA IV (English) PC DVD. I’ve looked around (IDB, Mirpur-1, Elephant Road) but luck didn’t favor. None of them was original copy and they (GTA SA) were of Russian Language which I couldn’t turn into English.
If Mushfiq is reading this comment, would you please contact me at aminulislam333 [at] gmail.com if you live nearby mirpur, or give me your contact ID? I need to know how I can change my GTA San Andreas’ language from Russian to English.
Off-Topic (!) Great Post, tamal vai. :D
GTA San Andreas! ahha, I love this game; beat the game once again few weeks ago and have removed from the pc completely.
I couldn’t complete it last time I played on elsewhere. However, I find it amazing.
So, what’s your next gaming goal? :D
Nothing, GTA San is the game of my life and I love it so much; not even gta 4.. I prefer to complete goals in the real life than the goals in the game :)
You like GTA SA more than GTA IV? :-/ Why? I thought GTA IV was better.

Yeah GTA 4 is better in every way, but my craze for San is since when it was a coming soon game (5 years ago).. I waited so long to play it, was a personal goal of mine and no game so far made me such mad. It’s over now and “San Andreas” become the best game of my life.
I have not yet played GTA4 but played all the previous versions of GTA. I loved saints row 2 because of the co-op, but the cars handle very poorly. My wife likes GTA Vice City the most, she still plays it now and then.

@ Aminul
You can’t change the language in GTA:SA. You have to get the English version and do a complete re-install.
I don’t live anywhere near Mirupur and don’t have the game anymore, sorry. Contact me @ http://www.contactify.com/1679e
Nice interview. Peoples are getting interested in blogging and start to write only about Blogging, make money online & so on.On which they don’t have enough knowledge. Most of them are not thinking different.
However, Gamers World Bangladesh Blog is a wonderful gaming blog.
Kindly take the survey “condition of blogger in bangladesh”
http://www.surveypirate.com/Survey.aspx?surveyid=10182&hash=NsUWcXdp-C1U0OuaT87bBA%3d%3d
Took the survey, what’s the result?
Funny, this survey was also posted on my site. I didn’t take it yet
Mushfiqur Rahman @ Gamersworldbd´s last blog ..New BioShock 2 Video, “Nobody Hurts My (Big) Daddy”
It was a lame survey, most of the questions were like this:
# Why BD bloggers don’t get much traffic; why, because they blog about porn topics? Why we are less successful than Indian bloggers! etc.
Lol I also got the same comment ! I am not getting why the IT analyst guy is comparing with india :s India has internet access throughout the country unlike Bangladesh. Only 0.3% of the Bangladesh has internet access according to the report published on http://www.internetworldstats.com/
And you know India got internet access from the 90’s and having so much advance (25 years much advanced than BD) infrastructure.. comparing to that we are just getting started. I hate these guys who compares BD with India in every manner.
But you must constantly compare yourself with the best out there to succeed. If we don’t compare ourselves to India, many people will lost the motivation to do better.

Just leave it.. you do your thing and I do mine.. if we start a debate/ conversation, then it won’t end and nobody will be benefited.
