Digg.com is a social bookmarking site and the interesting part of this site is that people can digg/vote your article. Submitting your articles in Digg is a nice promotion.

Digg is a social bookmarking site and people decides which article becomes popular by counting the total digg votes. Top rated article gets posted in the digg home page and you can then instantly get 5,000-10,000 visitors into your blog.

Getting your article hit the front page is tough but you can surely get some new and interested readers from the community.

Create your free digg account, create a profile and submit your latest article using, ‘Submit new‘ link. Fill out the form and your article will be submitted into digg. Having more digg votes means you are getting more exposure and the chance to get in the front page.

So how to get more diggs?
Start by searching for people who digg the same topics you blog. Add them to your friends. Now browse their profile and you will see a list of 5 random friends in his side bar. Make your story attractive because you have only 350 letters to describe it. Put an interesting headline. Whenever a non friend diggs your story, add him too. When you publish your story, click the ‘share‘ link and send it to all of your friends. Put a message in the box telling them to digg it and share it. People response shouts with good messages.

Add lots of friends but don’t spam the community. If someone shares your story too, then you could even get some more diggs. Digg your friend’s articles and leave a message that you have dugg. Add your fans as friends. This way you could get some extra traffic from digg!
