BlogKori’s new sexy look

BlogKori and the new lookBefore I begin, I want to wish all of my US friends a Happy Independence Day, greetings from Bangladesh.

By now you must have find out the new look of BlogKori. Trust me, I had no plan of changing a template. On the 1st of July, I accidentally changed the theme and customized over and over again to get this final look. By the way, it’s been one year of BlogKori; last year on this week, I started BlogKori. Read the change log,

Neat and clean design

I’m using a free template and I don’t care if it’s free or paid, it looks better than my previous paid template. The new look is sexy, fast loading and elegant. And I will keep my sidebars clutter free.

The black “BO” is back again

The “BO”(icon) of BlogKori is the signature of my blog and it makes a neat identity. People, who are reading the blog from the beginning, know that this was the original icon of BlogKori. This was the first concept design of BlogKori,
BlogKori ~the old concept art
And then it turned into color,
Color BlogKori logo
Now it’s back again to suit the red and black look.

Top ad spots

The last template was not ad friendly and had to put a banner which was out of the standards. Now I have a few ad blocks on the top right of the blog which looks clean and exclusive. I already got advertisers since the launch of the new look. You can buy the additional ad spots at the advertise page (Price is negotiable)

Great comment friendly design

On every page now the comments count is visible, which I think a bonus point of this template. Comments are now with larger avatars and which makes it feel great about the comment section. Now I’m moderating comments to get rid of those new spam attacks.

My plog (personal log)

I opened up a personal blog at blogkori.com/tamal and over there, I’ll be writing some of the inside updates from my life. You are welcome to read it.

The fan page

Recently, I’m getting addicted in facebook and I created a fan page of BlogKori. Please be a fan of the blog and suggest your friends to be a fan too.

Need a suggestion!

Please do share your tips and suggestions about this new look of BlogKori. If you find anything wrong on the template, tell me I’ll fix it.

I have made blogkori’s default page as a welcome page and the main updates on blogkori.com/blog ~what do you think about that? Thanks and will be coming with some great updates this week. ~Tamal

Yea, cool, not sexy, actually. :D

In the first picture, the “$” sign looks better than any other thing. That’s what most of the people blog for. However, I blog for making some money and getting recognition around the world. I feel excited and I wanna improve my writing skill. That’s why I’m still stuck with it. BlogKori is a good resource for tips and blogging advice. It’s also exclusive ’cause it’s from my own country. So, I’m happy that it got improved. But, I didn’t like the red theme at the top. Lightens my eyes :-/

Yeah, cool, not sexy, really :D
by the way please consider if you can change the red color. That looks a little bit ugly.

No I have no control over the red header color and can’t change it. You have to accept it like that.

With little CSS tweaking, I guess it can be changed! I can (try to)help with that!

I know it’s possible but I like the red and black combination. If I try to mod it, it might end up looking terrible. On the other hand, I have dedicated more time on post writing than theme tweaking. Thanks again Ishan, for your comment :)

I like it! It’s very clean and well organized. I miss the Facebook, Technorati social images in the sidebar that you had on the site before though… I think those should be re-added to promote on those networks. Other than that, great job!

Cool B-)! Are you going to make a new navigation bar? I think you can also add the categories on the sidebar and tags on footer :)

I am new to your blog. So I cannot compare this theme to the previous one. I do think these theme looks great though. It has a solid color scheme.

Don’t get too addicted to facebook. It is far too easily to spend most of your free time on there. This is a huge productivity killer.

I like inspiring others and making new friends online. Getting a FAN is something un-expected! Now there is no secret in better blogging. Stick with something and adding regular content will make a big blog over time.. I’ve decided to have the theme for a longer period (Changing the theme is a lot pain!) or maybe years!

You know Tamal, I wish more Bangladeshis had your talent. I can do what you can do but I’m pursuing something else, but I hope more Bangladeshis can have the tools you have to creating great web sites. And I hope they realize that creating English sites is so much effective than creating Bangla sites.

Thanks Azmi, I do feel like the way that BD people should do things like I’m doing and trying hard to get them started.. but it’s something that needs patience and hardwork.. I’m like another BD guy who don’t have money to buy domains, hosting and not even a paypal account but still I worked hard to build upon what I have and reached at this point.
